Alisha Sahay

NYC-BASED WRITER, BRAND MARKETER,
AND SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIST

Hey there!

Hey there!

When I was in the second grade, my mother came home one night from a parent-teacher conference with a yellow slip in her purse, a scribbly record of notes from the meeting. At the top of the page in big, bold Sharpie letters: “She talks way too much during class.”

Some things don’t change, and I’ve come to find that second-grade Alisha and present-day Alisha have a lot in common. Then and now, I’m passionate about disrupting the status quo, saying what’s on my mind, and weaving my values into the fabric of my work. Curious to learn more? Read on.

I’m always writing. To-do lists, greeting cards, observations from the subway — there’s an ode to it all in my Notes app. My favorite kind of writing, though, is thoughtful takes on culture, trends, and identity, best seen in my work for Mic and HuffPost.

Like a lot of us born in 1998, I’m always online — and my work in social media embodies just that. I have a knack for identifying trends that help brands tastefully contribute to conversations on social, best seen in my work for Mic and One Stripe Chai.

Hitting KPIs isn’t the only thing I’m great at doing; I’ve crafted B2B and B2C marketing strategies with a commitment to deliver the most creative solutions, amplify brands’ value props, and (most importantly) put partners and consumers first.

Stand-up from Asian Americans was once designed to be palatable to white audiences at the expense of those in the community. That's changed — and the jokes are funny as hell. Here’s my latest (and favorite) on HuffPost.
